My client a leading multinational energy company over 90,000 employees and operations in more than 130 countries. Engaged in all aspects of the petroleum industry, including Upstream operations (oil and gas exploration, development and production, LNG) and Downstream operations (refining, marketing and the trading and shipping of crude oil and petroleum products).

My client is looking for a Head of Geology for E&P in Syria/Syrie. To head its multi-discipline and multi-cultural Geosciences Team based in Damascus. Particular attention will be given to Health Security and Environment motivation which are both important focuses for the company.

***Your Experience/Qualifications/Capabilities:

As Head of Geology your main responsibilities will be to:

- Initiate and supervise the geological parts of integrated study realised in the Headquarters up to the history matching of the reservoir models.
- Do volumetric calculations for all fields
- Realise field synthesis for our fields : integration of petrophysical measurements, logs interpretations, volumetric calculation, well tests consistency (with reservoir engineers), material balance (with reservoir engineers). Participate in fine to calculation of the production profiles.
- Ensure geological consistency of the structural interpretations. Realise the geological parts of the structural interpretation reports.
- Participate in OH logs survey: recommendation, supervision of acquisition and interpretations.
- Do petrophysical and geological database maintenance (archiving and database management)
- For the future drilling campaigns, participate in the redaction of the prognosis report and final well reports.
- Present projects to the Total E&P Syrie validation committees to get headquarters approval and present to the National Company.
- Participate in the non operated asset follow up.
- Management responsibilities for 6-10 engineers and technicians.
